Hi guys! My name is Lourdes P. Estrada. I am a Bilingual (Spanish/ English) speaking therapist. â€‹â€‹

I am an alumni from California State University Dominguez Hills and Azusa Pacific University. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapist. â€‹

I am a wife and a mother to three boys. I identify myself as a Christian therapist. I believe in the integration of spirituality and mental health. I have been a sole proprietor since August 2016. I have worked in community mental health since 2005. 

I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Managing  & Adapting Practices (MAP), Trauma, Motivational Interviewing, CORS, FOCUS, Assessment and Diagnosis of children 0-5 (ICARE), Couples Therapy using Gottman Method and Relationship Enhancement skills. I am also trained in using Sand Tray Therapy. 
My approach is integrative. I pull interventions from various models to find your own, unique treatment plan to suit your needs. Therapy is not a "one size fits all" it is very unique to your needs. If  I have to choose I would say I tend to incline to "Client-Centered Therapy".  I believe in working as a team. You are the EXPERT of  YOUR life. 

My goal is to assist you to achieve your highest potential. In life, we have seasons. Some seasons are easier than others. I strive to provide a unique treatment for you. To work in partnership with you and achieve your highest potential.

Deanna Leyva

Deanna Leyva is trauma trained and certified. Deanna is bilingual (Spanish/English). Deanna is also trained in MAP (Managing Adapting Practices). Deanna completed her Master's education from USC. Deanna understands the cultural pressure of being a member of the Latino community and striving for higher education in a high demand collegiate environment. Deanna has her certification in TFCBT. 

 

Deanna has a lot of experience working with patients who are struggling with trauma and or are in Domestic violence households. Mayra Tobar

Mayra Tobar, has completed her Master's degree from Azusa Pacific University. Mayra is bilingual, Spanish/English. Mayra has experience working with children ages 3 years to 6 years using the method called Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Mayra, has also worked with military families. Mayra, understands that military families, are going through a lot of changes and stressors during their deployment and upon reunification. There is a high need for services for our military families, and we are very happy that Mayra has experience in this field.


Mayra is also trained in couples counseling using Gottman Method (level 1). Mayra can provide couples (pre-marital/ married/ joint partnership) with the skills needed to push through the tough season of the relationship. Mayra, has also a vast experience working with men, but in particular fathers who are raising their children on their own. Dad's need support too, and Dad's are  at times left out and underserved. Ivan Rapalo

Ivan Rapalo has completed his Master's degree from Azusa Pacific University. Ivan is a Bilingual Therapist (Spanish/English). Ivan has worked with adolescents, adults and military families. Ivan has also facilitated groups for fathers who want to be strengthened in their role in their families. Vanessa attended Mount St. Mary’s University where she completed her master’s in counseling psychology. Vanessa is from Peru. As a Latina woman, who is fluent in Spanish has been treating patients in their native language. Vanessa has experience and training working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Vanessa has completed her training in Trauma Focus cognitive behavioral therapy and CBT. Vanessa has also worked with youth who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Vanessa’s approach to therapy is CBT oriented and works in collaboration with the client to create and develop a treatment plan based on the client's needs. Vanessa has experience working with individuals who may be struggling with intrusive thoughts that do not allow the client to move forward in a healthy coping way. Vanessa has worked in community mental health and understands the stigma that sometimes comes with a mental health illness.

Mariah Oca is an Associate Clinical Social Worker and uses she/her pronouns. Mariah completed her Masters in Social Work at California State University, Los Angeles and is bilingual in English and Tagalog (Filipino). Mariah has experience working with children and adolescents in foster care, adults, blended families, as well as foster and adoptive parents. Mariah has worked with individuals and families that struggle with trauma, loss and grief, anxiety and depression, and other life stressors and transitions. Mariah will work alongside and collaborate with you to develop your treatment plan to meet your goals based on your strengths and needs. Mariah’s approach to therapy is person-centered, CBT, mindfulness, and has been trained in understanding attachment among families.

Mariah understands the struggles of im/migrant and Asian American family dynamics, the importance of honoring cultural values, and the journey towards embracing one’s identity. Just as we are encouraged by our loved ones to take care of our physical health, Mariah believes that it has been time for us to pay just as close attention and care to our mental health.
