Irma Hernandez comes to NHFCC with a lot of experience. Irma is a bilingual therapist (Spanish/English) and she understands the intergenerational trauma that many immigrants encounter. Irma has vast experience in working with adolescents who are struggling to connect with their families, environment and managing the pressure of school performance. Irma has worked in mental health with children/adolescent populations. Irma has also worked with young adults and older adults who are struggling with mood disorders, suicide ideation, anxiety, depression, trauma and identity issues. Irma has experience working with individuals from the military background. Irma has served in the military and we are grateful for her service. Irma understands first hand the struggles and challenges that military families encounter. Irma understands that being part of the military and making that decision not only impacts the individual but the family. Irma's style is eclectic as she pulls from different theoretical orientations to assist the client in developing their treatment plan. Irma will partner up with you to assist you to achieve your highest potential.
